Animated

Animated navbars change as you use them: they reveal a hidden layer, mark the section you're reading, or morph as you scroll. The animation is doing a job, not decorating. Cain's bar tracks the current section as you move down the page, and Fonts Ninja keeps a minimal sticky bar until you open an animated panel with extra options.

The trap is motion that fires on every scroll event and never settles. The examples below earn their animation by making the current state clearer than a static bar could. Dub's mega menu is the one to study for item transitions.
