About static navbars
A static navbar sits at the top of the page and scrolls away with it. No sticky behaviour, no hiding and revealing. It is the oldest pattern on the web and still the right one for most content sites, because it never covers what you're reading.
Twelve of the navbars in the directory are static, from L'Étude and Velvetyne to Cain and LAFOUR. Static doesn't mean plain: Floor796's Linux-style bar and Edoardo Lunardi's CRT navigation are both static.
