Monochromatic navbars use one hue, usually black and white, with no accent colour. Everything in the bar lives in the same tonal range, so hierarchy has to come from weight and spacing rather than colour.
Naked City Films, Shopify Supply and Hacktron AI all use high-contrast single-colour bars. Beehiiv proves the style scales to a large mega menu: the dark panel stays readable because nothing in it competes for attention.
